YOUNG PATIENTS

According to the Office for National Statistics, 10% of children and young people aged 5-16 have a clinically diagnosable mental problem, yet 70% of children and adolescents who experience mental health problems have not had appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age. (Source)

It is widely acknowledged that creative activities can help support young people’s mental health, providing an emotional outlet and promoting positive coping strategies, building self-esteem, reducing loneliness and nurturing wellbeing.

Create is committed to providing a creative outlet to young people living with mental illnesses.
