In March 2020, we partnered with ITV, our professional artist Amy Leung, and young carers from Hillingdon, Kingston and Lambeth to reimagine the ITV logo. The project was part of the ITV Creates series.
The resulting ident is running between ITV’s programmes from Monday 10 August to Sunday 16 August inclusive. We’re excited about this opportunity to raise the profile of young carers in the UK and the importance of creativity in supporting their wellbeing.

CREATE ARTIST AMY LEUNG
Amy guided the young carers through the project with ITV. This is what she said about it:
“Creating the ITV ident with an incredible group of young carers was an absolute joy. We explored our identity, the people, places and spaces that make us and our strengths and wellbeing through painting, drawing and games.
“Each young person brought unique and special points of view: photos of their family to be traced over, sharing their favourite hobbies or special memories or original poetry. They connected and supported each other and seeing their work arranged on the blocks which they assembled into letters brought home the importance and power of collective and shared art making.
“To be able to collaborate and to give the young carers space and a voice on national TV through art feels amazing and a testament to how brilliant they are as young people. I hope the sharing of the ident opens up conversations and awareness and inspires others.”
