We commissioned consultancy Partnership First to identify, analyse and report on the extent to which Create delivers Social Value through its workshop programme and wider engagement with key stakeholder groups during the reporting period April 2025 – March 2026.
Evidence for the report was gathered from three primary sources:
- Social Value Surveys for participants, Community Partners, Create artists, Nurturing Talent emerging artists, and Corporate Funders participating in the Volunteer Programme
- Two focus groups for Community Partners – 10 organisations took part representing a diverse range of partners
- Create’s programme and post‑project data, including participant feedback, artist feedback, and Community Partner feedback and insights

The report demonstrates that Create consistently delivers meaningful, coherent and lasting social value through high-quality creative practice and strong partnership working. By removing barriers while maintaining artistic excellence, Create enables people who are often excluded from creative opportunities to participate fully, confidently and with dignity.
Crucially, the evidence shows that social value is not an added benefit of Create’s work, but a core and intentional outcome of its delivery model. Professional artistic practice, inclusive design and trust-based partnerships combine to produce outcomes that extend beyond individual projects and are embedded within wider systems of support. In doing so, Create contributes to more resilient organisations, thriving individuals and more compassionate communities.
“Participants stop defining themselves by their vulnerabilities and started seeing themselves as capable creators.”
