Creativity changes lives.
Help more people experience the life-enhancing power of the creative arts.
At Create, we believe that people need to create.
For more than 22 years, we’ve brought free, artist-led creative arts projects to children and adults facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Every day, we see creativity reducing isolation, improving wellbeing and helping people discover confidence they didn’t know they had.
Whether someone is living alone, caring for a loved one, recovering from trauma or navigating disability or poor mental health, creativity can provide something incredibly powerful: connection.

A chance to connect.
Creativity is often thought of as a hobby or a luxury. But research tells us something different.
The World Health Organization has identified the arts as playing an important role in supporting health and wellbeing throughout our lives. At Create, we see this every day as participants discover new skills, build confidence and connect with others through creativity.

In 2025/26:
- 96% of participants said our projects improved their wellbeing.
- 96% said they felt more connected to others.
- 95% said they felt more confident after taking part.
Reaching those who need creativity most
Older adults are just one of the communities Create supports.
Across the UK, our professional artists work alongside people facing a wide range of challenges, helping them express themselves, build confidence and feel part of a community.
We work with:
- Older adults experiencing loneliness, dementia or age-related challenges
- Young and adult carers
- Disabled children and adults
- Children and young people admitted to inpatient psychiatric hospitals
- Children in care
- Refugees and asylum seekers
- Prisoners and their children
- Survivors of modern slavery

Every project is delivered free of charge. We believe creativity should be accessible to everyone, regardless of circumstance.
Why your support matters
Every day, people across the UK are missing out on the benefits of creativity simply because they cannot access it.
Your support can help us change that.
Together, we can ensure more people experience the transformative power of creativity.
