HOW OUR PARTNERS HELPED BRING CREATIVITY TO LIFE FOR CREATE WEEK 2026

Create Week has always been about bringing people together through creativity.

While individuals across the country embraced this year’s activities, Create Week was also powered by an incredible network of partners who found their own unique ways to champion the campaign and inspire creativity within their communities, helping us reach over 1.2 million people online.

Together, they demonstrated that supporting creativity isn’t just good for individuals – it’s good for workplaces, communities and society as a whole.

Creativity on display

Our partner White Stuff celebrated Create Week in a number of inspiring ways.

The White Stuff team took on an ambitious 16-bridge walk across London, raising £2,133.82 (with Gift Aid) for Create while braving some of the hottest weather of the summer. The team at White Stuff also explored their own creativity through a Create Wellbeing Workshop, making time for mindfulness through drawing and collage!

“It was amazing to take part in the London 16 Bridges walk during Create Week. Walking alongside such a brilliant group of people at White Stuff, while raising vital funds for our charity partner, Create, made the experience incredibly special. It was a fantastic day filled with energy, teamwork and a real sense of purpose and I’m proud that every step of the long 27km walk helped support Create’s inspiring work!” – Jack Nunn – Sustainability and ESG Manager

“I was incredibly proud to see the team come together for the London 16 Bridges walk during Create Week. It was a brilliant display of energy, determination and teamwork, and raising an amazing £1,800 for our charity partner, Create, made the achievement even more meaningful. The funds will help support Create’s important work, while the day itself was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when we unite behind a shared purpose.” – Kate Nissen – Head of People

Participants from Greenwich Carers Centre worked alongside Create artist Nicole Morris to design a window display for White Stuff’s Kingston store. Inspired by flowers and gardens, they created vibrant artwork and an original poem that transformed the shopfront into a public celebration of creativity.

Later in the week, participants returned to visit the display together – a proud moment that recognised not only their creativity, but the value of giving people’s voices and artwork a place to be seen.

Inspiring creativity beyond Create’s community

Our partners also helped introduce Create Week to entirely new audiences.

Creative community perediza encouraged its network of artists and makers to take part in Create Week activities, sharing their own creative responses across social media and inspiring others to join in.

“We look forward to Create Week every year. It inspires our team’s creativity in new and unexpected ways, providing a platform for them to showcase their work, while also creating an opportunity to give back to the UK’s creative community and encourage others to participate. Thank you to everyone at Create for all you do!” – perediza

Meanwhile, London Graphic Centre generously donated ten art material goody bags, each worth £100, giving participants the opportunity to continue creating long after Create Week finished.

INFLUENCING CREATIVE ENGAGEMENT

Alongside our corporate partnerships, this year we extended the invitation to artists of influence online, who helped us spread the message to their audiences. Artists involved included: Polina Belenchuk, Meg Frances, Esther Freud, Ana Graça, Laxmi Hussain and Ioana Simmion. Each tried one of our Create Week activities, inspiring others to do the same.

Ana Graça shared: “I think Create Week is a beautifully important reminder that art can be accessible to anyone. You don’t need fancy supplies, an art degree or anything like that. You just need the motivation and the desire to create something with your hands, heart and soul!”

And writer Esther Freud summed up the week nicely saying:

It was an inspiring week of creative prompts. I was happy to take part.

Championing creativity together

Create Week reached even more people thanks to the support of Campaign for the Arts, Country & Town House, London Arts and Health, The Reading Agency and The Social Biobehavioural Research Group, who helped share the campaign with their audiences, championing the importance of creativity.

Lucy Cleland, Editorial Director at Country & Town House, shared: “Creativity is our human superpower – it makes us what we are and tapping into it and playing with it can help us express ourselves in our most authentic way through a multitude of mediums. When something comes from the heart and hands as well as the head is it is truly joyful.”

Partnerships like these are becoming increasingly important. At a time when around one in four adults in Great Britain report feeling lonely at least some of the time, opportunities to connect through shared creative experiences have never been more valuable.

By working together, our partners helped ensure that thousands more people heard Create Week’s message and discovered simple ways to make creativity part of their everyday lives.
