Draw a scene

An artist activity for Create Week created by Eirinie Theodorou. Children should only do this activity under adult supervision.

Draw and colour your favourite scene or part of a book you have read.

Grab some paper, colouring pencils or felt tips.

Firstly draw the characters:

  • What did they look like?
  • How were they feeling?
  • What were they wearing?
  • What were they doing?

Now draw the landscape, were the characters in nature or in the city?

Draw the objects and things that were around the characters

Add any finishing touches to your artwork

Finally, colour in your drawing

Eirinie Theodorou

Eirinie studied Fine Art at Manchester University and received first-class Honours. Part of her studies involved learning the discipline of metalwork, and she has been fixing and making jewellery since then. She collects stones and crystals and transforms them into wearable pieces of jewellery. She works with silver and copper and sells her work online and on markets.

Eirinie’s drawing practice is based on observational studies of everyday life, such as portraits, the human body, architecture, and natural landscapes. She is fascinated by Psychology and the power of dreams, and she uses this fascination to convert her observational drawings into imaginative illustrations that explore the relationship between her internal and external world.
