Create is delighted to be the beneficiary of 20 VIP places in the RideLondon-Surrey 100, which is taking place on Sunday 29 July. The experience of cycling on empty roads past central London’s iconic sights and following the 2012 Olympic route through gorgeous countryside, coupled with being treated to breakfast in the velodrome, a technical jersey and a fast-track to the starting position, is a winning package for any cyclist!
In return for these FREE places, we are asking each rider to pledge to raise a minimum of £750 for Create. Last year our 13 riders raised an amazing £18,794 and, with 20 places this year, we’re hoping to smash a £25k target.
The RideLondon website has comprehensive details about the route, and the essential training plans!
A rider from long-term Create funder British Land, who completed the challenge for us last year, reflected:
“It is such a great experience to breathe in the fresh air and see that many cyclists on car-free roads. It’s nice not to have to worry about competing with vehicles. I think a couple of the hills were harder than I thought they’d be, especially Leith Hill which was certainly the most challenging stretch. That and cycling down towards Buckingham Palace were definite highlights. It really made me feel like I’d done it. I got to know Create through British Land, who introduced me to the charity’s inspiring work when I was considering taking on the challenge. It is a very important cause and I am glad the money I fundraised is supporting such wonderful projects.”
We will provide you with lots of fundraising tips and support; plenty of social media encouragement, recognition and profile; a lovely, cotton Create T-shirt; and celebrate your achievements through our Facebook event page and website. We also provide a picnic at the end of the race to allow you to celebrate your achievements with us.
To secure your place or for more information, get in touch by emailing email@example.com (and as they are VIP tickets they won’t hang around for long)!
We would love to have you on #TeamCreate during our 15th anniversary year.
