In December, three organisations surprised and touched us with their efforts to raise money for Create as part of our 10 for 10 challenge. Years 5 and 6 at Moreland Primary School in Islington, who had just taken part in our financial literacy and drama project, A Wealth of Stages, did a bake sale for us and raised £50. Create musician Pete Truin and his sea shanty choir chose to donate an evening’s subs to us, raising £160, and Create’s landlord, Moorfield sponsored a raffle for us at the Salisbury House Christmas drinks (prizes included an iPad mini, a giant Christmas cracker from Hotel du Chocolat and a bottle of Champagne), where we raised £742! It was a brilliant way to end the year. If this has inspired you to do something similar (or it was one of your New Year’s resolutions), check out the many ways you can raise funds for Create.
