Our Chief Executive appointed Vice Chair of The Queen’s Nursing Institute

Our Chief Executive, Nicky Goulder, has been appointed Vice Chair of The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI).  Nicky has been a member of the QNI’s Council for four years.   Kate Billingham, Chair of the Council, said, “We are very fortunate to have the award winning Chief Executive of a dynamic charity as the new vice chair of the QNI’s Council. She brings a unique set of skills to the position, which is of huge benefit to us and the work that we do.

Nicky commented, “I feel privileged and honoured to have been elected as Vice Chair of the QNI. There has never been a greater need for patients to receive the right care in their homes and this is at the heart of the QNI’s work. I have seen at first hand the immeasurable impact this can have on patients and their loved ones and look forward to playing my part in this vital work over the coming years.

The Queen’s Nursing Institute is a registered charity dedicated to improving the nursing care of people in their own homes, through:

  • Its national network of Queen’s Nurses who are committed to high standards of care in the community, making improvements in practice and to act as leaders and role models to others
  • Influencing policies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that affect healthcare in the home and the quality of community nursing services
  • Funding projects led by community nurses that improve care for their patients
  • Helping working and retired nurses in financial or other need
