This week, three of our projects are drawing to a close for this year with final performances: Speak With My Voice (our creative writing and music project at Deptford Reach in Lewisham for people at the margins of society), which finished today; creative: u~turn (our arts programme for vulnerable women who attend U-Turn Centre), which finished on Monday and creative:voices (our arts project for carers in Lewisham), which finishes this Saturday.
On Sunday 25 March, over 100 disabled children and their families danced, sang, played percussion and decorated hand puppets at our interactive music event, creative:space, at The Stables in Milton Keynes. Music for the event was performed by the renowned pianist Derek Paravicini, a musical savant who is blind and has severe learning difficulties, and the Alba Wind Quintet. Highlights included a heartfelt rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody as well as a chance for the participants to conduct the band!
On Thursday 18 October 2012, we will be celebrating our ninth anniversary with an exclusive black tie Gala Dinner at Mosimann’s, Anton Mosimann’s stunning private club in Belgravia. The evening will include a champagne reception, four-course dinner, an auction by Colin Sheaf, Chairman of Bonhams, and a raffle.
