ecreate: issue 1: 2018

Welcome to the 1st 2018 edition of e:create. It has been a wonderfully busy start to the year.
February has been packed full of major arts and culture events, with the BAFTAs, London Fashion Week and the Brit awards, and now it’s time for Create and our participants to take centre stage.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our funders, supporters and partners for making our work possible; and our participants who inspire and reward us every day.

Nicky Goulder, Co-Founder & Chief Executive

Fifty-five children in Hackney took part in A Wealth of Stages, which develops financial literacy through drama. They devised two thought-provoking plays, which were attended by special guest Diane Abbott MP. This was followed by a busy half term week when we ran dozens of workshops with young carers all over the UK. We also delivered Inside Stories in the Midlands, enabling 16 offenders in prison to connect with their children by creating illustrated stories and music.

Gala Dinner

“I create and for a time I am satisfied. Then I am inspired to create anew. This is my art.” Anton Mosimann OBE

On Thursday 18 October 2018, Create is celebrating its 15th anniversary with an exclusive Gala Dinner at Mosimann’s, Anton Mosimann’s stunning private dining club in Belgravia. We hope you will join us.

In the news
We have been busy promoting the impact of our work on the lives of our participants, even making it across the ocean to a national newspaper in Chile! Our CEO has also been in demand as a contributor to both medical journals and corporate blogs.
